MEET THE TEAMS WE SUPPORT

Whether it’s helping our apprentices get their driving licences, supporting a golf championship, ladies football teams or even a fishing league! Here at Hythe Group we like to support our staff, clients and local community by sponsoring events and teams which show dedication, ambition and/or contributions to good causes. Here are some of the groups, organisations, teams and charities we’re proud to support!

Sea Angling Classic

The Sea Angling Classic (SAC), taking place from June 15-19th 2022, is a high profile boat fishing competition based on the South Coast of the UK using the prolific diverse fishing grounds of the Solent. As well as being key sponsors of the event, Hythe Marine and BAE apprentices worked together to make an iconic trophy for the Sea Angling Classic. A number of our team members, including Director of Value Engineering, Luke Fitzgerald, are entered into the event.

David Steel’s Charity Golf Marathon

Hythe Group has made a donation to Pro Golfer, David Steele's, Charity Golf Marathon, an event aimed at raising money for Cancer Research as well as Centro Contigo, a charity that looks after disadvantaged children in La Línea. In 1993 David raised funds to buy an ambulance for the village of Guadiaro, playing 315 holes over 17 and a half rounds during daylight hours. In 2003 David attempted to break the world record for the most number of holes played in 24 hours using a golf Cart, raising an extraordinary €100,000 for charity. Now in 2021 David will attempt to play 324 holes of golf over 18 rounds during daylight hours on the 7th June 2021. Click here for details on how to donate.

Baffins Milton Rovers FC 1st Team

We supported the Baffins Milton Rovers 1st Football Team with a two-season kit sponsorship deal. Between We now support the 1st and U16 football teams from Baffins Milton FC. ROYAL NAVY GOLF ASSOCIATION

“Sponsorship from Hythe Group has enabled us to support both Service men and women to compete at the top level of military representational sport.  This includes a variety of competitions and fixtures across the country, even supporting the Royal Navy ladies squad competing overseas in South Africa. It has provided support to the Royal Navy Golf Championships and Navy Cup Finals, which service personnel from home and abroad can compete in (through provision of professional coaching). It has helped the development of golf from the absolute beginner through to Service representation and has also enabled us to refresh the team kit worn by all our teams and players." Baffins Milton FC Under 16 Football Team

"I would just like to thank everyone within the Hythe Marine Services team for their continued support. We have been kindly looked after by you for 5 years now, of which we are extremely grateful!" MONEYFIELDS LADIES FOOTBALL CLUB

We’ve been proud to support the Moneyfields Ladies football team for the past few years. "Women's football doesn't yet have the same support as the men, so we like to sponsor their team to help get them on the same stage as the guys. DAVID BURDEN RALLYING

We support David Burden Rallying by sponsoring some of his race entrance fees, two of which ended up being the best performances of the year - nice work David and good luck for your future races.

ROYAL NAVY ENGINEERS OPEN

In 2021, our support of the Royal Navy Engineers Open Golf Championship helped raise £1,510.00 for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity. Many of the Hythe team are competitive golfers so the role as Prime sponsor for the event was greatly enjoyed by the team. Find out more here >

THE TRIBE RUN FOR LOVE

The TRIBE run for love is a fantastic organisation that pushes volunteers to the limits of human endurance in an effort to raise money and awareness in the fight again modern day slavery. In 2019 our Managing Director, Josh Mathias, took part in the Sao Miguel run around a volcanic crater in the Azores in aid of the groups worked to raise £250,000 for charity.  Read more >

Fawley Falcons Under 8 Football Team

We're delighted to be kit sponsors for Fawley Falcons, the under eight football team managed by Paul Dyer. The kit is on order so we look forward to seeing the team wearing their new uniforms soon!

IBTC Portsmouth: Building confident boat builders

The International Boatbuilding Training College (IBTC) Portsmouth are a world-renowned training provider based in the heart of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Hythe Group support IBTC who teach essential techniques in constructing, restoring and maintaining traditional wooden boats.

The Africa Trust

The Africa Trust works to bring Sustainable solutions to poverty in Africa. This includes establishing sustainable supplies of clean productive water and decent sanitation. If you'd like to know more or make a donation please visit their website.

Cricket Pitch Construction in Africa

Hythe Group helped support the construction of  a cricket pitch in Africa for Cricket Builds Hope (CBH). CBH is a charity that uses cricket, and the spirit of the game, as a tool for positive social change in Rwanda. CBH harnesses the power of sport to promote reconciliation and tackle deep-seated social issues, like gender inequality, through specially tailored sessions run by CBH’s cricket coaching team.
